IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie Harold
Smith Jr.
December 8, 1947 – September 29, 2016
Harold was educated in the public school system of Goldsboro and Mt. Olive, N. C. Harold worked many jobs from being a farming and dairy worker to meat packing in New York. Harold worked his favorite occupation, industrial mechanists for 42 years, at Heekin Can from which he retired in 2010. He enjoyed getting to know how engine parts worked. Harold did let his sister, Lisa, know that he knew there was a God. On Thursday, September 29, 2016, Harold departed from his earthly body. Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Jean Fiscus in 2014. Harold leaves cherished memories with his sisters: Lisa F. Carson (Darnell), Jean C. Jones (Albert) and LaVerne Bryant: brothers Raymond Favors (Yvonne), James Sinclair (Lisa) and Jerome A. Favors: nephews Alfonso McGuire (Monti), Edwin Houston and Anthony Mewborn; a host of relatives and friends. Harold loved his family and often spoke of the manners and country/farming discipline taught by our grandparents, Atlas and Isa Bryant. In a conversation with Lisa he said 'Ma'am'-thinking he heard grandma calling him. He traveled back home to North Carolina and to Georgia to see family often, even when his health was failing. People, parties, soul food, Blues and Old School music, travel, laughter filled many of Harold's days. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds baseball games and he remained an avid Cleveland Browns NFL fan. Pallbearers Jerome A.
