Dossie Lee Washington Jr. was born on June 23, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Dossie Washington Sr. and Sallie Washington. He departed this life on June 16, 2025.

He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he attended Carl Elementary, North Fairmount Middle School, Heinold Junior High, and Hughes High School, where he later received his diploma. He then met the mother of his two children, Cynthia Lockett. Together, they had one daughter, Latasha Lockett, and one son, Dossie Lee Washington III.

He worked for Queen City Barrel and the City of Cincinnati for some time, and then went on to work at Sun Chemical, where he was employed for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing basketball, hanging out with close friends, and attending family gatherings. He also loved old-school music and had a passion for dressing well.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dossie Lee Washington Sr. and Sallie Washington, and two brothers, Hessie and Essie Washington.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Latasha Lockett; his son, Dossie Lee Washington III; and four grandchildren, Orlando Billups, Toni Huff, Rony'e Chatman, and Dossie Lee Washington Price IV. He is also survived by one sister, Jacqulyn; four brothers, Willie, James, Charles, and Raymond Washington; one sister-in-law, Barbara Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gathering of family and friends is from 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm, on  Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Unity of Garden Park Church, 3581 W Galbraith Road, Cincinnati  (45239).   The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 1:30 pm.
