Dorothy Allen was born on August 27, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the only loving daughter of the late Blunt Mincy and Mary Katherine Thompson. Dorothy graduated from Woodward High School, and went on to become a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for many years. Dorothy had a heart of gold and a smile that would touch you forever. And for anyone who met her, they would truly say she was an Angel. She leaves to cherish her memory: 12 children, Jazel (Sylvia) Mincy Azel (Monique) Mincy Christine Mincy William Mincy Marvin Mincy Vonnita Mincy Eric Mincy Sharon Allen Karen Allen Sidney Allen Mary (Ronnell) Jones, Lucinda (Michael) Williams. Thirty-seven grandchildren and a host of great-great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
