Obituary

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:02 pm, at Hospice (Christ Hospital) in Cincinnati, Ohio, GOD, in his infinite wisdom, sent his angel of mercy to gently call his faithful servant, Doriscine Isaacs Colley, from her life of pain to enter his realm of eternal peace. Doriscine was born on October 2, 1930, to her loving parents, Arthur Isaacs, Sr. and Carrie (Williams) Isaacs. She was the 2nd youngest child of nine. She was nurtured in a Christian home where faith and love were a part of her daily life.

Doriscine possessed a strong will to live from birth to death. Doriscine was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System attending Douglas Elementary and Withrow High School. She continued her education at Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Cincinnati, where she earned a degree and license as a registered nurse.

Doriscine was joined in holy matrimony with Reverend Edward Duval Colley, III (deceased) on March 27, 1952. This union spanned for 57 years! They were blessed with three sets of twins: Reginald and Regina (who both preceded her to the Heavenly Throne); Edward and Edna Diana; and Darlene and Doriscine.

Doriscine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also served as a devoted First Lady during her husband's tenure as a Reverend at local United Methodist and A.M.E. churches. Doriscine loved helping others and enjoyed working as a nurse. She always said, "If I can help somebody, then my living shall not be in vain". She also enjoyed singing in the choir at church, going to the Kennedy Heights Senior Club, and having her friends come over to play cards.

Doriscine leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted son: Edward Duval Colley, IV; three daughters: Edna Diana Sweet-Taylor (Robert); Darlene L. Brooks (Eric); Doriscine; one son-in-law: Steven Allen; seven grandchildren: BenG (Stacey),  Ginelle (Kendall), Rashad, Eric II, Duval (Sherie), Kenneth, and Solomon; five great- grandchildren: Sanaa, Kiara, Brycen, Kade, and Maddison. She also had a devoted niece: Barbara Isaacs Thomas, and nephew: Darren White, and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. ________________________________________________________

Mom You have gone through the gates to another land. Led by the Master's hand, where everyone is understood! And this we believe - that the good Lord above has taken you home as an act of love! Fly ever free and happy. We're really not apart - the lovely life you gave us is forever enshrined in our hearts. Edward, Diana, Darlene, and Doriscine

Grandmother In tears we saw you failing and watched you fade away. Our hearts were broken because we wanted you to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully and free from pain, we couldn't wish you back with us to suffer again. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day you went home. How precious you were to us; we love you still. A place is vacant now that can never be filled. We will miss you, Grandma. BenG, Ginelle, Rashad, Eric II, Duval, Kenneth, and Solomon

An Angel An angel up so high smiled upon me in the sky; a smile that shines so bright, God guided me into the light. My Father who guided me so high, put a smile on my loved ones who hurt as I fly. Even though I'm gone we're not apart, I'll always be there in your hearts. Isaacs and Williams Families
