Obituary

Doris Elaine Robinson known as 'Lanie' was born January 10, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. On Monday, April 13, 2015 at 7:52 p.m., she departed this temporary dwelling place to go home to be with the 'Lord' in his permanent paradise. Lanie was the oldest of 14 siblings. She was a vibrant, beautiful soul that enjoyed life, family and friends. Lanie grew up in Cunningville. She graduated from Withrow High School. She then graduated from nursing school, then proceeded in the nursing field over the next 40 years, receiving degrees in nursing. She also received her Mortuary Science Degree with husband of 47 years, Michael Robinson. From there Lanie continued her education and received her Pharmacist Degree, and became a Pharmacist at CVS in downtown, Mt. Healthy and that's where she retired. Lanie was baptized at an early age. She was the most kind, giving and gentle person ever. She was always there for her family, even if she wasn't feeling well. Lanie was very particular and picky about everything in her surroundings, everyone knows how clean and neat she kept everything. Immaculate, you could eat off her floor, even with raising four children, and a loving husband. She was so very strong physically, mentally and emotionally and the Lord was the highest peak in her life. She loved to dance and her Michael had a special dance they did that everyone enjoyed. She also loved to watch her daytime stories, where she would get a lot of ideas on her next shopping spree, whether if it was for her children, house or herself, she loved to have nice things. And everybody loved her homemade cooking, especially on the holidays and picnics. On April 13, 2015, she joined in our Lord's mansion, her mother, Doris Moore Kirkland, father Blaine E. Ooten and husband Michael Robinson. Lanie leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Darryle and Michael Robinson; two daughters, Stephanie and Monica 'Poovie' Robinson; thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. A loving, beautiful stepmother, Honey Lou Ooten; fourteen siblings and a host of family and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Walker - Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206).
