Dontae Lashawn Antonio St. Clair-Kidd was born on July 8, 1986, to Melvin Kidd and Kim St. Clair.  He was reared by his grandparents, David Lee and Dr. Betty Strum of Cincinnati.  He departed this life unexpectedly on August 5, 2020. He was 34.

Dontae attended Houston Elementary and Colerain High School.  He was an awesome football player.  He played for the Mt. Healthy Hurricanes and later coached the Hurricane Football Team.  Dontae had an entrepreneur spirit.  He was a courageous and determined young man who left Cincinnati at a young age to pursue his goals.  He could also be a prankster and had a good sense of humor.

As a teen, Dontae started a lawn care business in his neighborhood and employed many of his friends.  He worked in the field of Culinary Arts.  He was a "Foodie" and also a salesman.  He could sell you anything your heart desires.  He was a talented singer and musician.  He and his friends made music in the studio together.  Dontae was a collector of many items dear to his heart.

Dontae was involved with the youth at New Prospect and New Emmanuel Baptist Church.  He was a very caring person with a heart of gold.  He never met a stranger and did whatever he could to help anyone in need.

He leaves to mourn: his grandparents,  David Lee and Betty Strum; father, Melvin Kidd; mother, Kim St. Clair; son, Kingston; special sister, Ciara Richardson; sisters, Latoyia (Toyia) Jackson, Anjelica (Leica) St. Clair, Kimyata (Kimmy) Jackson, Alexandria Younger; brother, De'Onjelo (DJ) St. Clair; uncles, Donnie (Apra), Melvin, Steve (Diane), Kevin (Sandy), Ben, Aaron; special aunt, Zenith Renee; special family friend, Jennifer Asher; and a host of cousins, family, friends, and Godparents who were instrumental in enhancing his life.

Visitation is from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
