It is with profound sadness we announce the heavenly transition of Donald  Blue, age 72, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born to the late Frank and Mildred Blue on Wednesday, January 28, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Withrow High School and obtained some college courses. He was one of seven children. His sister, Lynette Johnson preceded him in death.

Donnie worked as a city construction supervisor for the Cincinnati Water Works for over 30 years, where he retired. Donnie loved God and the church. He enjoyed studying the Bible and discussing the Word with others.  Donnie also enjoyed talking to people and telling jokes, cooking, playing the bass guitar, and watching his favorite football team on TV- the Cincinnati Bengals.  More importantly, He loved his family. Donnie was a devoted father and grandfather. There was not anything he would not do for his kids and grandchildren.

On January 31st, 2025, Donnie was called to Heaven to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memories: his children- Angelica, Alexander, and Austin Blue; his grandchildren- Lamarion Jones, Landyn Jones, Aaliyah Blue, Lamorse Jones, Jr., and Laveah Jones; his siblings- Barbara Blue-Johnson, Frank Blue, Jr., Wendell Blue, Barry Blue, and Kimberly Moses; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).  . Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
