Diane Denise Walker, born April 21, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lorraine (Walker) Holley and James Brown, departed this life November 5, 2015. Diane faithfully served Over The Rhine Living Water Church of Cincinnati for several years, volunteering in a number of community serving functions. She was employed at IKRON Mental Health Services for the past seven years, supporting those with mental health struggles. After going through great personal difficulties earlier in life, Diane became a strong advocate and supporter of those in crisis and those struggling with mental health issues. Having overcome her own battle against a statistically debilitating disease, she became a willing servant to those needing someone to simply feel what they were feeling and support them through their own personal struggles. Diane was preceded in death by her father James Brown. She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Holley; daughters LaKeisha Garrett, Sharnell "Lady" Thompson and Leialyce Johnson; grand-daughters, Desirha Garrett, Camryn Johnson-Hafford, N'nyia Thompson and Nah'via Smith; Siblings Isaac Holley (Victoria), Toney Holley, Kenny Piety, Juan Holley, Ezra "Keithy" Piety, Tange Holley-Henderson, Rosezetta Nixon, Jamila "Etonia" Harris, KeyonaWinbush, Lorraine "Crinky" Henderson, Ardell Edmonds; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Joe Ann Erkins, Elizabeth Godfrey, L. Theresa Jones, Jamie Morris and Kimberly Landblack. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the James Temple Church of God In Christ, 1116 Lincoln Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
