Diane Cheryl Hurt was born May 27, 1961 the daughter of Zella Harris and Paul Tatum.  She entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Diane attended South Avondale, Douglass Elementary and Walnut Hills High School where she was "head of her class".  Diane had many great personalities, often going by "Baby D" or "Diane Gottie".  She was an outgoing person.  She always wanted to be around family and she loved to sing and party.  She was loved by everybody she came across.  Diane was also loved by her work crew at Pepper Lounge and Eleanor Fish Bar. Diane loved to cook her fish and talk "mass stuff" to those around her.  She was a person who always wanted to have fun.  She especially loved jazz music. She also loved to take care of her mother, brother and sisters.

Diane is preceded in death by her mother, Zella Harris; daughter, Danielle Johnson; brother, Martin Gooden; sister, Beverly Harris; son, Kendall Johnson; husband, John Hurt; and her child's father, Rodney Bolden.

Diane leaves behind her children, Roxanne Hurt, Brandi Hurt, Jonnetta Gooden, Tyreese Gooden, John Hurt, Antonio Hurt, Kenyatta Bolden, Gabrielle Bolden, Makayla Gooden and Ty Gooden; brothers, Louis Hutchinson and Demetrius Shields, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Harris, Charlotte Harris and Lemetrious Shields; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and a dear friend, Tracy Ford.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
