TO VIEW / PRINT / DOWNLOAD FUNERAL PROGRAM https://www.scribd.com/document/374106044/Diane-Brooks-Funeral-Program On March 12, 2018, Diane Brooks took her last breath after battling a long journey with her health. During this journey, Diane assured others around her that there was no need to worry; that in deed she is "in the Lord's hands." While her death was sudden, her family and friends will always remember the moments they cherished with her, her unselfish love for others, her funny sense of humor, her candid conversations, and her witty advice . Diane Brooks was born July 29, 1957 to Louis and Inez Grant in Cincinnati, Ohio. Diane has one other sister, JoAnn Ware who preceded her in death, four nephews and a host great-nieces and nephews, and extended family. Diane loved her sister, as she was her best friend and often times spoke of her. Diane retired from the University of Cincinnati, after 30 years of service. While working at the University, she impacted countless lives and she worked hard with one goal in mind, and that was to support her daughters. She would say when they were young, "I don't have much to give, but I can give you an education." Diane loved her family. She often times would go out of her way to ensure that others were okay. Diane is survived by her children Danita (Jonathan), Leticia (Jerome), and Alicia (Kehinde); seven grandchildren, James, Joshua, Lee'Asia, Joseph, Ann, Samuel, and Simon. Diane loved being around her family and made sure that each and every one of them knew that they were loved. Despite her health challenges, she continued to Thank God. Diane pushed her daughters to 'live without regrets" For those of you who knew Diane, you would know that she would not want you to worry about her. We encourage you to remember as she would often times say, that "God has been good." Our prayer for you is that you remember this and know that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church, 1585 Compton Road, Cincinnati (45231).
