IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Devon Isaiah
Gillon
January 31, 1990 – October 16, 2025
Devon Isaiah Gillon was born on January 31, 1990, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Christopher Wayne Gillon and Iris Evette Kelly. He was the second oldest of four siblings. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Columbia Township and Kennedy Heights. He attended St. Cecilia Elementary School, where he was selected as a sixth-grade exchange student to a Catholic parish in Acapulco, Mexico. He then attended Purcell Marian High School, where he excelled in both football and wrestling. After high school, Devon pursued a career as a skilled electromechanical technician, later working for DHL and Bosch. Devon loved his job and the companies he worked for. He also enjoyed doing electrical work and welding in his spare time.
Devon departed this world on October 16, 2025, in the presence of his mother and father. While Devon is no longer earthside, his legacy lives on through his four beloved sons: Remington Charles Gillon, Maddox James Gillon, Atlas Jack Gillon, and Hudson Forest Gillon, as well as their big sisters, Annabelle and Priscilla — all of whom he loved deeply. His children will carry on his name and embody the remarkable qualities he possessed.
Devon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Osborne, Raymond Tolbert, and Otis M. Kelly Sr., as well as several beloved cousins.
In addition to his children, he leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Christopher Charles Gillon (Kelsea), and sister, Jade Samone Gillon; grandmothers, Sharon Tolbert and Peggy Osborne; aunties, Deandra Jebril (Uncle Nick), Shynita Jenkins (Uncle Ron), Val Taylor, Jukita Booker (Uncle Tony), and Sonya "Sonny" Osborne; uncle, Otis Kelly; and cousins Ron Jr. (Brittany), Pinkie, Fatima, Nidal, Brittany, Sharon, Chrissy, Shanee, Jamal, Jamel, and Tristian. He also leaves behind three nephews, three nieces, and a host of great cousins who looked up to him.
Devon had a deep connection with nature, finding solace in the great outdoors. He spent countless days and nights hiking, fishing, hunting, and honing his survival skills. He looked forward to sharing his passion for nature with his four sons one day. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by many.
