He was born March 16, 1962. He was called home to be with the Lord February 7, 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio. Derryle Hines was a very vivacious young man. He attended Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio where he played football. Derryle was raised a devoted Christian and he loved to read his bible. He was a funny person, very playful, and he loved to make people laugh and smile. Derryle was a hard worker, loving father, brother, son and uncle. He leaves behind a mother, Mary Pearl Hines (Tillman); a father, Robert Hines; his oldest brother, Carl Hines of Alabama, brothers, Roderick Hines, and Jeremy Hines; sisters, Phoebe Hines of Atlanta, GA, Amanda Hines of Cincinnati, OH, and Kellie Hines of Boston, MA; his children, Dante Grissom (Hines), Sakanya Grissom, Brandon Derryle Grissom (Hines), Princess Arrington, and Larissa Crumpley; four stepchildren, Markita Henderson, Jerome Henderson, Latywana Henderson, and Johnathan Henderson; seven grandchildren, one great-nephew, Jaimee Quinn McClellon. His loving grandmother, Fannie Mitchell of Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
