Obituary

Dennis Morgan McRae was born on October 31, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2020. He was born to the late Willie David and Bernice McRae.  Dennis joined the  New St. John Baptist Church at an early age under the Pastoral leadership of the late Pastor Robert L. Flowers and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Dennis graduated from Withrow High School in 1970. His hands were gifted by God with the ability to perform numerous professional occupations. He was a barber, butcher, and was formerly employed at the Cincinnati Public School System. He was most recently employed by Taylor Restorations LLC. Over the years Dennis helped many family, friends, and neighbors with childcare, painting, installations, repairs, etc. We believe Uber, Lyft and Ask Angie got their concepts from Dennis. He had a heart of gold, always doing good deeds for others. He rarely said no to any task asked of him and he was our go-to man.

To know Dennis was to love him. He had a spirit that would captivate people of all ages. He was known as Uncle Dennis to the millennial generation and often provided them with wisdom and knowledge to make wise choices. He was always a good big brother, the second oldest of eight children. He was always available to his five sisters. From combing hair, fixing bikes, protecting, and being there when needed. He had a uniquely compassionate and loving spirit and always brought life to any situation. He was joyous and fun to be with. His presence brought much love, laughter, and life to the atmosphere. He had an awesome love of music and old school was his favorite. One of his favorites were "Fantastic Voyage" by Lakeside.

He leaves to cherish his memory, brother: Willie McRae, (Jerome McRae preceeded him in death) sisters: Kathleen Montgomery, Patricia Sutton, Wanda Carr (Edwin), Tammy Long (Zollie), and Sharon McRae; aunt: Maudie Hicks; and uncle: Charles Mason all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Other family and friends, step-daughter: Jerrnisce Worsham; granddaughter: Nevaeh Worsham; and significant other: Chan Cooper. Special cousins Harry and Karen Jackson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
