Obituary

On Thursday the 24th of December, 2020, Dennis Glenn Bradner, loving husband of and Father of two fur babies Adele and Charlie, passed  away peacefully at home.

Dennis was born in Danville, Virginia on December 18, 1954.  His family then moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he spent the majority of his life.   After the death of his beloved parents, Dennis moved to Hamilton, Ohio to be close to his sister Angela and brother-in-law, Wesley Scenters and their family.

Soon after, he met Debbie at a Vineyard Singles Group.  They married in December 1998, and shared twenty-two years of marriage together.  Through good or bad times, they always had a deep love for one another.

Dennis had a passion for history.  Whether it was genealogy, Civil War, or Second World War studies.  He had an incredible memory for Stats, Dates, and Facts about Battles, especially the Civil War Battles.   Every year in July he would ask: Do you know what day it is? Of course Dennis, it's the days of the  Three Day Battle at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.   His grandfather was one of three survivors of their company to live through those terrible days.  He also loved Genealogy studies.  Before computers, he would spend days working through archived record books trying to piece together his family history.  Still worked on that this year.  He was so excited when he found a new link!  He worked on Debbie's side of the family as well.

He enjoyed studying the Bible.  Wesley Scenters was his Mentor, he taught Dennis well.

Dennis loved sports of all kinds.  Hockey, Baseball, and Football were his favorites.  he collected ball cap type hats from all his favorite teams.  Multiple hats were purchased for the favorite teams.  Everyone liked to raze him about always having the winning teams hats.

Dennis was preceded in death by his Mama, Helen Herndon Bradner and Dad James Bradner, as well as his special Brother-in-Law Wesley Scenters and close as a Brother Mac Jones.

He is survived by his wife Debbie, sister Angela Scenters, nephews, Tom Cheatam and Daniel Scenters.  Beloved sisters-in-law, Cora Anglin Gray, Lora Anglin Brooks (Doug), James Anglin (Gayle), Timothy Anglin (Sandra), father-in-law, James Anglin and Ruth Anglin who he called  mom; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dennis will never be forgotten.  He was greatly loved!
