Dena  Denise Wilbon was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 20, 1966. Dena passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 13, 2019.  Dena passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 13, 2019.

Dena went to Taft High School and graduated in 1984.  After graduation she attended cosmetology school where she pursued her love for doing hair.  Dena "Dinksta" was a highly intelligent, fun loving, silly, caring person with a good sense of humor, who would curse you out one minute then turn around and give you the shirt off of her back.  She was known for her sayings, "Wilbon! will be bonded out" "I'm not conceited I'm convinced" and "Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun". Dena leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jayla Wilbon and Karen Wilbon; one son, Dwyane Sparks; five grandchildren, Cornell Newman III, Dominique Griffin, Amiyah Sparks, Dy'mond Wilbon, Rickey Lackey III, her father, Riley Cheatham, Sr.; siblings, Riley Keith Cheatham, Kelly Cheatham, Karen Bonner (Joseph), Yolanda Waller, Tiffany Sykes (Maurice), Star Foster (Derrick), Riley Cheatham Jr. (Jade),; grandmother, Alice Rollinson; aunts, Doris Payton (Will), Shelia Rollinson; uncle Clifford Rollinson, Jr. (Lynetta); her companion Nick Gibson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Dena was preceded in death by her daughter, Kourtney Wilbon, her mother, Gwendolyn Wilbon, her biological father, James Waller and her sister Renee Waller.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Monday, December 23, 2019, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 760 North Fred Shuttlesworth Circle, Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
