With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Delores Hummons, born on January 11, 1951, who departed this life on April 13, 2026. Delores was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love touched everyone blessed to know her.

For more than 40 years, Delores dedicated her professional life to the University of Cincinnati, serving faithfully in the Medical Records Department. Her commitment, reliability, and pride in her work made her a respected and valued member of the UC community. She built lasting relationships with colleagues and carried herself with the same grace and steadiness she brought to her family.

At home, Delores was truly the backbone of the family. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking. She loved to cook, and her meals were more than food—they were expressions of care, tradition, and togetherness. Family gatherings were her joy, and she made sure everyone felt welcomed, supported, and connected.

Delores is survived by her loving children: Todd Hummons, Harvey Hummons, and Carla Hummons. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to DeAngelo Tye, Shiloh Maloney, Barry Hummons, and Kayden Hummons. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Jaireana Hummons and Isaiah Dorsey, and a great-great-grandchild, Leo Dorsey, who carries her legacy into the newest generation.

She is further survived by her siblings: Charles Hummons Jr., Deborah Hummons, Julius Hummons, Larry Hummons, Doug Hummons, Arvell Hummons, Tracey Hummons, Kevin Hummons, Russell Hummons, Allen Hummons, Anthony Hummons, Lantha Hummons, CharlesAnna Williams, and Jerry Williams, and Kim Hummons, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews each of whom shared in the bond of family that shaped her life and strengthened her spirit.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather from 10:00 am until 10:30 am, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The memorial service will begin at 10:30 am.
