In loving Memory of my mother, Deborah Maxine (Crockett) Jones, who passed away far too soon on August 16, 2026, at the age of 77. She brought kindness and love into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed.

She was born on October 25, 1948, in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, to her parents, Liston and Emma Mae Crockett. She was the first of nine children. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she grew up. Mom graduated from Linden McKinley High School at the age of 17, then went on to further her education at Franklin University, where she majored in accounting. When she was 20 years old, she married her (ex) husband, Russell Jones, and together they had two children: Brian and Tina.

Mom loved going for walks, listening to good music, and was an avid reader. She also really enjoyed cooking, especially her large Sunday meals that she would plan out days in advance. Above all, she loved God. Mom was a woman of faith, and even in light of all of her health struggles, she never wavered in her belief that God was good and that he had saved her many times.

Mom is survived by her children, Brian and Tina Jones; her sisters, Crystal Woodruff, Kimberly Jackson, and Sandra Saunders; her brothers, Ralph Crockett and Timothy Crockett; her nieces, Tianna Saunders and Alexis Jackson; her nephews, Devin Saunders and Stephon Saunders; her great-nephews, Josohn Austin and Jalen Saunders; and many cousins.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231.
