Deborah Ann
Holloway
April 18, 1962 – May 2, 2026
Ms Deborah Ann Holloway, "Debbie" or "Deb", blessed the earth with her presence on April 18, 1962, born to the parentage of the late Edward and Annie Jean Williams. She concluded her earthly pilgrimage on May 2, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Debbie was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System and attended Hughes High School. Deb was a lifelong learner and could always offer friendly, insightful advice in a loving manner, without judgment.
Deb often spoke of how blessed she was, having most of her faith formed at St Agnes Catholic Church in Bond Hill, where she was also a praise dancer. She occasionally visited New Mission Baptist Church in College Hill as well.
She struggled with illness for several years, never complaining about the hand she'd been dealt, and was an inspiration through it all. TWICE a cancer survivor, who could ever forget the video clip of her "ringing the victory bell," after all the treatments - with her bright smile and hugs for all those present!
Equally important to her was family, taking pride and joy in her sons and grandchildren. “Grandma Debbie" made herself continually available to her "little ones" whenever she was called upon, and they adored and shall miss her. She was blessed to be able to attend the family cruise last year to the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica! While not at her level best, she thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The good Lord in His wisdom has now granted her eternal rest. We are grateful for the time she was allowed to be with us.
She leaves to carry her legacy forward: her two beloved sons, Deonta Williams, Sr. and Clarence (Kara) Holloway, Jr.; her loving "grand-joys:" Deonta, Jr., Little Deontae, Kaliyah, Ciniyah, and Cairo; her dear siblings: Regina Williams, Eddie (Jewell) Williams, Jr., and Darryl Williams. Also left to cherish her memory are her "bonus" son, Marzell Martinear, her former spouse, Clarence Holloway, Sr., her later companion, Tony Moore, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
