IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Victoria
Dodds
March 8, 1959 – February 3, 2021
Deborah (Debbie) Victoria Dodds was born on March 8, 1959, to Clara Dodds and the late Billy Scott, in Cincinnati Ohio. Debbie was the first of two children. On February 3, 2021, she was called home to be with our Heavenly Father.
Debbie attended Vine Elementary and graduated from Hughes High School, c/o '77. She was a straight-A student and received a scholarship for "Engineering". Debbie had a big great heart and was loved by so many people. She had a hidden talent for doing hair and was self-taught. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and loved her mama's ribs!! She was a wonderful, smart, loving, and giving person.
She confessed her love for Christ at an early age at Rose Baptist and later joined Progressive Baptist Church. Her first job was at Internal Revenue Service. She worked 2-3 jobs in between and later worked at Kroger for many years as her last job.
During her spare time, she loved to play cards with her friends and family. Debbie enjoyed the nightlife at the casino!! She was truly one of a kind, fun, loud, lucky, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Anytime she stepped into a room you surely knew she was there.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, uncles, Leonard Scott, Samuel Dodds, James Dodds, William Dodds, and Hanford Dodds; aunts, Mary Coston, Annabelle Thomas, and Lillian Robinson.
Debbie leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Clara Dodds; her beautiful children, Donta, Donald, Porsche, and De'Aris; grandchildren, Chynna, Deonte, De'Aris Jr., Nevaeh, Essence, Donald Jr., Brielle, and Kiylah; sister, Amber; aunts, Gwen and Vicky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
"My mind still talks to you, my heart still looks for you but my soul knows you are at peace. Little by little we let go of loss but never of love".
