Obituary

Deacon Edward Williams was born December 18, 1921 in Union Springs, Albama to the union of Mack and Annie D. Womack Williams. He passed this life January 30, 1991. He entered the U. S. Army in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He attended and taught at the Cincinnati Art Academy from 1946-1950. He began working at General Electrick in November 1951 and retired on January 1, 1987. He served as a Big Brother in Covington, Kentucky. He was baptized in Village Creek. He served as a faithful member in the church under Rev. Smith and Rev. D. P. Pugh. He united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist church in 1946 under Rev. K. C. Karl. He served in Junior Choir, Men's Progressive Chorus, Sunday School Advisor, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendant, Religious Education Instructor, Church Clerk, Church Treasurer, Choir Advisor, Trustee, member of The Gospel Crusaders, member of Board of Deacons and Chairman of the Deacon Board. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Leeada Winston from Birmingham, Alabama on November 12, 1950.
