CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF A TRUE KING Deacon Howard G. Crutchfield Jr. Sunrise May 31, 1935 Sunset November 16, 2017 OBITUARY Deacon Howard Gene Crutchfield, Jr.(crutch) was born May 31, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the first born of the late Rev. Howard G. and Jean (Grant) Crutchfield. Howard graduated from North College Hill High School in 1953 and studied pre-med for 2 years at Miami University. In 1968, they both joined 1st Baptist Church of Kennedy Heights. He served faithfully as a choir member, on the Usher and Trustee board., kitchen committee, and Deacon board. He had a talent for many things, but was a master at: cooking, eating, fishing, golfing, talking on the phone, gardening, yelling, arguing, telling people what to do, cussing Trump out, watching sports, telling stories of his past, and most of all- covering and providing for his family. Grand-Children: Davia and Malcolm Crutchfield, Darius, Dejah and Devin Gallagher. Siblings: Anthony Crutchfield, Carol Ann Cooper, Mary Beverly Young, and Valenda Deveraux. Curliss and Douglas Crutchfield both preceded him in death.) Host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, church members and friends. "The Core of Who Howard Crutchfield Was" By Bert "When I met Howard, he asked me to walk with him through the "Sub" (West College Hill) asking for donations for one of the neighbors in need. I asked him, "Why are you doing this?", Howard said, "This is what my father taught me, you see a need and you help!" Howard had no problem asking others to help him help those in need. He would ask his family, friends, co-workers, Kroger's, Benken Florist and Hardware and other stores in the neighborhood. And if the President would walk by, he'd ask him too! Whatever the need was, whether it was to feed people, bail people out of jail, pay someone's rent, gas and electric bills, water bills, car notes, school tuition, gas and tires for the car, retirements, church anniversaries, Pastor's anniversaries, choir concerts, or if you just needed a sandwich, - WHATEVER the need was, if you asked Howard Crutchfield, he saw to it that it got done!"
