OBITUARY DAVID B. STOCKDALE 1965-2012 David was the youngest child born of the union of James and Helena Stockdale. David is predeceased by his parents, James and Helena Stockdale, and his brothers James Michael, Darryl Anthony, and Stephen Wesley Stockdale. David professed a hope in Christ at an early age, at (his family church), First Antioch Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Francis E. Lesley. David pursued his spiritual journey relentlessly with faith and fervor. David subsequently found a spiritual home with dear friends at New St Paul Baptist Church under a pastor he said spoke to his spirit, Bishop David Thomas Sr.. David had a certain 'je ne sais quoi', always top of the line, at Withrow High School, Skating, fashion, travel, singing and especially the way he had with words, ('B'), which gave everybody LIFE! David's career began in the basement on Huron with Cathy, Donna and Torrie's hair. David's 'fashionista' influence was seen in visual arts, hair design, cosmetic enhancement, interior design and all things beautiful. David was a loving and caring father to his son Ladon, and grandfather to his three grandchildren, Coron, Keyzia and Canryel. David never met a stranger, in fact, David said 'I don't make friends, I make family'! David leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ladon; three grandchildren, Coron, Keyzia, and Canryel; one sister, Alicia (Cathy); his devoted kindred soul mate, Kendall Fulton; one niece, Torrie; one nephew, James the II; 8 grand nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends, however, from Davey's heart ... all friends are family! Visitation is from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the New St. Paul Baptist Church, 1907 Freeman Avenue, Cincinnati (45214). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will follow Walnut Hills Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
