Mr. Daryl Turner was born November 3, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio (parents unknown), before being adopted at the age 6 by Pauline and Charles Turner in Cincinnati, Ohio, both preceded him in death.
Daryl accepted Christ in his life at an early age and united with First Baptist Church of Evanston in Cincinnati, Ohio under the leadership of the late Rev. Bates. Daryl was reaffirmed under the leadership of Pastor Rosa McCants at God's True Church in 2005.
Daryl received his formal education at Withrow High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated in 1973. Daryl also received his Associate Degree in Drafting from Southern Technical College.
In 1973, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1978.
Daryl was a man that loved to work, he held careers with the Internal Revenue Services, U.S. Playing Cards, Local Union 265, City of Cincinnati Parks and Recreation Division and Hart's Industrial.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah Brooks-Turner in 1979, 4 children were born to this union. 1 brother Howard Edward Turner preceded him in death.
Daryl departed this life on September 28, 2019 at 7:32pm in peace and serenity surrounded by friends and family.
He leaves to cherish him in memory wife Deborah Brooks-Turner, four children Damon T. Brooks, Dawn R. Brooks, Daryl J. Turner and Duane L. Turner, 8 grandchildren Duane Jr., Alexandria , Daryl DeAndre, DaShawn, Dariyah, DeAysa , DeAngelo, Dash, 5 Sister-in laws and 2 Brother-in laws Bessie L. Brooks, William H. Brooks Jr., Charles W. Brooks (Valetta), Doris R. Cade, Denise Brooks-Reid, Darlene Brooks-Peek, Bernadette Heflin (Eliot Heflin Sr.) nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Grace A.M.E Church, 1627 Fairfax Avenue, Cincinnati (45207). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
