Darryl D. Chatman was born October 20, 1980 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Sonia Chatman and Durwin Proffitt. Darryl attended St. Francis and graduated from Purcell Marian in 1999. Darryl Chatman was a great man, a wonderful father, a loyal friend, loving son, and an amazing role model. He was a hard working man who lived for his six children. Those who knew him, knew he was the life of the party and a family man. Darryl was preceded in death by his younger brother Juan; grandmother Ernestine; uncle Ricky; great-grandmother Olamay Boston; and grandfather Virgil Proffitt. He leaves precious memories to be cherished by: his mother, Sonia Chatman; father, Durwin Proffitt; grandparents, Richard and Liz Womack, and Lilly Proffitt; two sisters, Sheena Chatman-Gentry, Samantha Rogers; six children, De'Eran Miller, Derriahna, Aajzare', DeJuan, De'Asia and God Chatman. Brother/cousin, Tyrone Chatman; cousins, Dominique and Imisha Scales; favorite cousins, Markisha Chatman and Santia Chatman; two nephews, Darren Chatman and Jason Gentry; two nieces, Da'Quiesha Chatman and Danielle Gentry; best friend, Charles Bishop; brother, Jason Gentry; three uncles, Darryl, Donnie Chatman and Orlando Scales; ten aunts, Shank, Rose, Lucille, Lesa, Cynthia, and Victoria Chatman, Alisha Scales, Brenda, Vanissia and Debbie, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2014 at James Temple Church of God In Christ, 1116 Lincoln Avenue, Cincinnati (45206) with visitation from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
