Darnell B. Anderson (Andy) was born on March 7, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the third son born from the union of the late Mattie and Samuel Anderson, and was preceded in death by his elder brothers Sam, and Leonard. Andy made his transition from this life to his eternal life with God, on January 28, 2014. Andy attended Withrow High School in the 1950s, before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1953. While stationed in Denver, Colorado, he met his wife Naomi, to whom he was married and dedicated to for fifty-three years. Within this union they were blessed with two loving daughters. After completing his duties in the military, Andy moved back to Cincinnati, Ohio to reside, and worked within the Tri-State area as an iron worker for many years. Andy accepted Christ in his life at an early age, and was a faithful servant of the Lord, teaching bible study for many years, as well as driving children to church for Sunday school. Andy was highly thought of in the community, he never met a stranger and would always greet you with a smile. He made his house a home to family and friends alike. Many people enjoyed his stories (tall tales), laughter, sense of humor, outgoing personality, cooking, card playing skills, stylish dress and his great dance moves. Andy leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Naomi Loretta, two daughters, Darcus and Lisa Anderson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Andy will be remembered for his faith in God, and loving his family.
