Darlene Marie Short (mom Dukes) of Cincinnati, Ohio was peacefully granted her angel wings on April 16th 2015. Darlene was born on June 2nd 1960, she was the daughter of Lawrence and the late Phyllis Hollandsworth. She attended Colerain High School and married the late Robert (Bobby) Short on November 27th. 1981. Darlene leaves behind to mourn her beloved children and grandchildren. Tonya Short, son-in-law Vyron Williams, sons, Robert and Isaac and six grandchildren. Darlene is preceded by a sister and survived by 5 sisters, 3 brothers, her fianc John Silman, her loyal dogs, Diesel and Popeye, along with a host of extended family and friends whom she had so memorably touched throughout her life. Darlene's life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood the quality far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her unconditional love and strong faith poured out in abundance to all who knew her. Darlene was a loving wife, beloved daughter, an amazing loyal sister, a joy filled proud grandmother, a devoted tender loving mother and a dear friend. Darlene loved and cared deeply for many people. She was always open armed and willing to help in any way that she could, but was not afraid to correct or guide those that she cared about and loved. She was a friend, confidant, and mother to so many. All the lives she touched, even briefly will she always be remembered. Darlene could be feisty, her sense of humor was contagious, her deep uncompromised faith, admired. Her strength and determination, unmatched. She loved spending time with family, caring for her family, and playing BINGO!
