Darlene Y. Hammons Causby was born March 7, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dollie Mae Hocker Mathewis and father, Norman Hammons.

She was saved at an early age and began to serve faithfully at True Holiness Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Louis Tolber at the age of eleven. She gifted us with an anointed voice from God, she was a passionate praiser and worshipper. Her singing voice was so powerful that she was voted in to sing with the Tolbernetts at age thirteen; she also served as a Greeter and a Usher.

Later she moved her membership to the Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Bishop Lewis T. Hilton, Sr., the church relocated to Forest Park and became The Word of Deliverance, where she served in the Choir under Bishop Lewis T. "Bobby" Hilton, Jr.; she was known for singing the song "I am God" and blessed many.

Darlene lastly joined Fresh Start Church, under the leadership of Pastor Mark and Norma Hubbard. She served on the Praise Team and was a Deaconess, serving on many other ministries the Greeters and Ushers, worked with the Children's Choir, Pastor Support and Altar Ministry, she loved coordinating the churches fellowships along with cooking and had a big heart for the Outreach Department.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Frazier Garrett; children, Yomicka Causby, Montez Curry, Bennie (Lonnie) Causby, Angel Causby and Charniece Causby; 9 grandchildren, Khari Curry, Imoni Causby, Joshua Causby, Elijah Causby, Makelya Causby, Ja'quise Causby, Camden Causby and Josiah Garrett; She also leaves a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on  Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at the Word Of Deliverance Ministries for the World, 693 Fresno Road, Cincinnati  (45240).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
