Darlene Sue Murphy Coleman was born on January 3, 1952 in Gary Indiana to Charles E Murphy Jr. & Mary Lou Stifle Murphy. She graduated from Griffith High School in Griffith IN. Darlene Sue Murphy united in holy matrimony to Charles R. Coleman Jr. on May 16, 1987. Darlene professed to love the Lord. She worked at the Banker's Club in Cincinnati as a server. Darlene also worked as a Customer Service Representative at the Quality Hotel in Covington KY. She retired from the Millennium Hotel in 2010. Darlene loved the work that she did and received much praise and recognition for her service. Throughout her career, she was selected to serve notable VIP guests for major private events. One of her most notable guests was President Gerald Ford. Darlene leant her talent for decorating to special church functions for New Testament Baptist Church as well as family gatherings. Darlene's husband Charles R. Coleman Jr. preceded her in death as well as her parents Charles Jr. & Mary Lou Murphy. Darlene leaves to cherish her memory; Brother Charles E. Murphy III (Laura); Donald J. Murphy (Clara); one niece Tracy Dernulc; and three nephews Benjamen Murphy, Troy Murphy (Ania), and Mathew Murphy (Catherine); one great niece Julia Murphy and one great nephew Patrick Murphy. Also cherishing Darlene's memory are her in-laws, Robert Coleman (Catherine), Patricia Tooson (Otis), Elinore Bailey (Sircharles); Ollie Bolton aka Aunt Friz, one extra special nephew who took special care of Darlene, Irvin Washington; a whole lot of nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Darlene also had a few special friends who cared for her with patience, love and compassion; Cynthia, Ed, and Barry. Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street , Cincinnati (45206).
