Darius LeShaun Wheeler was born on October 16, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Katrine Wheeler and Courtney Woodward. Darius attended Woodward High School and Virtual High School.

As a child, Darius loved sports and played little league football each season, carrying that passion for sports into his teenage years. He played baseball and participated in track and field, but he especially stood out in football at Woodward High School. Darius enjoyed fitness and working out, although he had a huge appetite and loved to eat! He came across as shy, but once he got to know you, he could be the life of the party. He also liked skating, singing, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved to laugh and make others laugh.

As an adult, Darius took an interest in electrical work. He began gaining knowledge in the field by shadowing and assisting on jobs with his uncles, Man (Will) and Zay (Isaiah), with whom he spent a great deal of time. That is how he affectionately gained the nickname “Neph.” He also spent a lot of time with his beloved grandmother, Sonya Wheeler. Those two shared a very special bond. He was truly a family man and will be missed tremendously.

Darius was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Linda Wheeler; his grandmother, Betty Woodward Samuels; and his beloved uncle, Craig Woodward. His memory will live on through his parents; his children, Da’Venchi Darius Wheeler and Da’Vier Craig Wheeler, whom he loved very much; and his siblings, Kamaya, Corey, Courtney, Kylee, Ciyana, Ronald, Maryana, Cheyana, Cortlynn, and Dacota. He also leaves behind his grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Ave., Walnut Hills 45206. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 12:30 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
