Obituary

Damien LaDonne Thornton was born June 13, 1980 (Friday the 13th) in Columbus, Ohio to Victoria Ann Webster and Mychael Thornton. On Saturday, March 13, 2021, he passed away from this life to eternal life.

Damien is well known as "Big Annie" by family and friends. He spent his childhood between Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio being raised by both his parents. After attending Cincinnati Public School, Damien decided obtaining his G.E.D. was best.

Damien fathered eight beautiful children from previous relationships with Antonette Williams and Iesha Walker. He loved spending time with them and loved them with everything he had. Their favorite pastimes were shoe shopping and watching movies. He would spend any amount of money to see them smile.

Big Annie was a lady's man, and well known for being a great guy. His willingness to always extend a helping hand to those in need was unmatched. He always saw the best in everyone around him. Always remains a positive voice despite the worst circumstances. Truly living the YOLO lifestyle, he never let anyone steal his joy or change the man he was. Taking care of his family and friends will always be his greatest achievement. His presence spoke volumes that his voice never had to. Always remaining humble and genuine is what made him special to so many. Every day was a celebration. He even made every Friday the 13th his birthday. His mom always made it special. 40 years seems so short. We miss you so much.  His laughs and playful spirit will always remain in our hearts.

Damien was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Doris and Lawrence Thornton, maternal grandmother, Mattie Webster; and his favorite aunt, Rose Marie Webster.

Damien leaves to cherish his memories, his loving parents, Victoria Ann Webster and Mychael (Joyce) Thornton; children, Kelijha, Damnesha, Rayona, Iiyonna Williams, Anntonya Fitzgerald, Izyrah Walker, Damien Jr. and Ashton Thornton; stepdaughter, Autumn Richardsonsisters, Brittnee, and Katilyn Thornton; a niece and nephew; aunts, Patricia Thornton and Donna Batson of Cincinnati, Ohio; uncles, Arthur (Stephanie) Thornton of Texas, and Kevin Thornton of Cincinnati, Ohio; close cousins, Monique "Mo" Thornton and Dion Thornton (a special bond with all being born within 10 days of each other); remaining by his side to the end, his partner in life, Ashawntae Richardson; close friends, Miranda "Mumzie" Watkins, Kipp James, and Kevin "Mikey" Creamer; and a host of others he loved dearly.  RIP Big Annie
