TO VIEW PRINT DOWNLOAD FUNERAL PROGRAM Daja Latrise Parrish was born November 9, 1993, to Sheila Parrish Alexander and David Williams, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Daja and her unborn child, suddenly and unexpectedly, departed this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in the emergency room at Mercy Health West Hospital. She was the youngest of four children. Daja died at the young age of 23. Daja had a zeal for life and lived it to the fullest. She was excited and looking forward to having her first child. She had an infectious laugh and an unforgettable smile. She loved to read and expressed her thoughts in poetry. She was an extremely talented writer. She loved her family, especially her Papa, Mack Parrish and his wife Pamela Parrish. Daja had her ups and downs, and when she was good, she was good and very loving and sweet, and when she was bad, she was bad with lots of attitude. She had a great sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone's face. She was witty and funny. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Daja was preceded in death by her Papa, Mack Parrish, and her Grandmother, Josephine Parrish. She leaves to cherish her memory: her Mother, Sheila Parrish Alexander (Lloyd); Father, David Williams (Tonya); three brothers, Wayne A. Scott, Donavan Parrish, and Ryan Williams; Sister, Shaday Parrish, and also Pamela Parrish, whom Daja loved and looked at as a mother figure, and played a huge role in her life. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Walker Funeral Home - West End, 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati (45214). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Rev. Nick Barnett will officiate. Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, 45220.
