IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Curtis Adams
Jr
September 7, 1942 – August 27, 2016
Curtis Adams Jr., was born September 7, 1942 in Osceola, Arkansas to Curtis and Alberta (Cole) Adams, Sr. Curtis was the ninth or tenth children, eight of which preceded him in death, Teresa Adams, Neveda Steele, Alberta Dyer, Thada Bourrage, Cornelia Collins (Robert), A.B. Adams (Ruby), L.C. Adams and Dorothy Adams. Curtis moved to Cincinnati, Ohio after living in Saginaw, Michigan with his loving sister, Thada. They spent countless times together fishing and playing card games. Curtis gained employment at the Stearns and Foster Company in Elmwood, Ohio, where he worked many years until the company relocated. Curtis also worked at General Motors in Norwood, Ohio. He was a faithful member of New Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Everyone who met Curtis enjoyed his sense of humor. He was always the favorite uncle among the nieces and nephews. He could relate to the young people. Curtis was well loved and loved all. His health started to decline and the Lord called him home. Curtis is survived by his brother, Famous who he enjoyed fishing and hunting with as a young man. He also is survived by his sister-in-law, Frankie Adams. He leaves to mourn: his loving companion, Mrs. Lillian Fuqua of many years; two daughters, Deirdre 'Dee-Dee' McCurdy (Derek) and Kelly Dozier; one son, Demetrius Hardy (Sheneika); nine grandchildren. Curtis also mentored and was a father figure to the Fuqua children, Nella Fuqua, Robbie Fuqua (Anne), Sherrie Burgress (Aurthor), Rafferty Fuqua, Rickey Elord Fuqua, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
