>TO VIEW / PRINT / DOWNLOAD FUNERAL PROGRAM Cornell Lawhorn was born on September 1, 1951, to J.L. and Annie Lawhorn in Cincinnati, Ohio. He departed this life on June 2, 2017. Preceding him in death are his parents: J.L. and Annie Lawhorn, and brothers Michael and Ronnie Lawhorn and Stepmother Alene Harper. Cornell attended Cutter Junior High School and Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cornell confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Southern Baptist Church. Cornell later became a member of The House of Joy, where he remained until his passing. Cornell leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of forty-four years, Edna Washington-Lawhorn, his children, Litasha, Cornelia, Donnell, and 12 grandchildren; siblings, Jenise Lawhorn-Brassell, Johnny Lawhorn, Evelyn (Harold) Harper, Anginette (Richard) Hinton, John Lawhorn, Alphonso Anthony, Phillip Anthony, David (Tosha) Anthony, Jimmy Anthony, Johnnie Mae (Marshall) Wells, Essie (Angelo) Walker, Bessie Little, Michelle Dean, Kathleen (Thomas) Bowman, Cousin, Sylvester Storey, best friend, Kenny Brown, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. Visitation is from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the House of Joy, 5918 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati (45224). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
