Cora Lee Cruse was born March 2, 1916 in Register, Georgia to the late Lillian and John Lewis, Sr. She was one of nine children: Belle, Charles, Edward, Eunice, John, Molly, Rosa Lee, and Oveda all precede her in death. She was married to Earl Royston, Sr. and later wed Charles Cruse both also preceded her in death, as well as, sons Jimmy Lewis and Earl Royston, Jr. Growing up in the years Great Depression, her life spanned 10 decades allowing her to see many things that many only dreamed about. Cora was a graduate of Lockland High School and worked as a home health aide for many years. She cared for any and everyone, always giving her best and willing to give her last to anyone in need of help. She had many stories to tell. She loved going to bingo. A 'true matriarch' she was the glue that held her family and extended loved ones together, raising her granddaughter Nicole Postell as her very own. Until her health declined she lived alone performing daily tasks and seeing to it that she made a place of welcome for everyone. When she could no longer live alone she went to reside with her son, Barry and daughter-in Joyce who cared for her daily with the support of her son William and daughter-in law Lisa. Cora Lee leaves to mourn her death and cherish her memory sons, Barry Cruse (Joyce) and William Cruse(Lisa). A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
