Connie Howard (Amma) was called to God on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was 73 yrs. old.  She was born on August 16, 1947. She was one of six children born to George Thomas and Corrine Moore (both deceased).

In 1968 she married Eugene Howard (deceased).  This union led to the births of daughter Yavonda and son Guylando.  On July 1, 1976, she gave birth to another daughter, Charna Howard.

As a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Connie graduated from Central High School.  She earned a Nursing degree from Ohio State University.  She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.  She was intelligent and had a warm embrace.  More importantly, she had her own style (especially in fashion).  She was special.  Her personality touched so many people.  You couldn't help but call her Amma.

She is survived by: William Hunter (companion of 31 yrs.), Charna Howard (daughter), two sisters: Wilma and Marrian, three brothers: Bill, George ("Sporty"), and James ("Jamie").  11 grandchildren: Terricka, Guylando, II., Terlissa, Tylando, Da'Rell, Ronisha, Dion, Diego, KC, Matthew, and Brooklyn;  Nine great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.

She will surely be missed but not forgotten.

Visitation is from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on  Friday, March 5, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 4:00 pm. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
