Minister Connie Carr was born on May 19, 1956 to the union of the late Sylvester and Juanita Pettis. Minister Connie Carr professed Jesus Christ at an early age. She became an active member of Fellowship Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor E. Cook. In 2008, Minister Connie Carr joined Deliverance Temple Church, under the pastorship of Pastor Linda G. Lowry; where she faithfully and willingly served on the Ministers Board until the Lord called her from labor to reward on Tuesday, June 4, 2014. Minister Connie Carr, was an outstanding cook, seamstress and she loved and cherished her family and friends. In 1988, she married the love of her life, Mr. Vinson Carr Sr. To this union, one child was born; Vinson Carr Jr. Minister Connie Carr was preceded in death by her father and mother, Sylvester & Juanita Pettis; two sisters, Atavie Smith and Carolyn Pettis, and one brother, Benjamin Dorsey. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Vinson Carr Sr.; three children, one son, Vinson Carr Jr. (Jamia); stepson, Dewond Sullivan and stepdaughter, Lisa Sullivan; three sisters, Audrey Lott (Johnny), Beatrice Barnette (Larry) and Carmile Pettis; three brothers, Douglas Floyd, Iran Pettis (Lois) and Sylvester Pettis Jr. (Linda); four grandchildren, Ve'Era Carr, Ve'Aaju Smith, Keleia Smith and Marqueze Solomon; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Connie Carr passed away June 4, 2014 at the age of 58. She was born on May 19, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH. Celebration services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Deliverance Temple Church, 2141 Highland Avenue, Cincinnati, 45219 with the visitation from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
