Christopher Alan Vollrath May 2, 1980 - May 1, 2023

It is with sadness we announce the transition of Christopher Alan Vollrath, age 42, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Monday, May 1, 2023, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born on May 2, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father David Elwood Vollrath.

Surviving are his mother Betty Voss Vollrath; sister M. Rene Vollrath Hiser; brother Eric D. Vollrath (Liz Schneiter); nephew Jordan Hiser (Carrie Doyle); niece Kylie Hiser (Jordan Bratcher); a great-nephew and great-nieces.

He attended Sycamore High School, Cincinnati, OH where he played on the hockey team which was inducted into the school's hall of fame. Chris was an avid sports fan and loved the Red Wings, Cyclones, Bengals, and Reds. He loved spending time with his friends and was known to all for his sense of humor, integrity, and warmth. There's nothing he wouldn't do to help someone in need and often sacrificed for others without drawing attention to himself. He learned the Golden Rule as a child and lived it his whole life. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Gathering of family and friends is from 6:30 pm until 7:00 pm on  Friday, May 19, 0223 at the Walker Funeral Home-Mt. Healthy Chapel, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231.    The memorial service will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 7:00 pm.
