IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Edward
Clark
May 27, 1982 – August 6, 2015
Christopher Edward Clark was born on May 27, 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Linda J. Clark (nee Stines) and Edward Clark. Chris accepted Jesus Christ into his life and was baptized on October 25, 1992, at First Baptist Church of West College Hill. Today we honor his life and celebrate him as he has gone to be with our King. Chris graduated from North College Hill Senior High School in 2000. He continued his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned an Associate Degree in Aeronautics. Chris joined the United States Navy in January 2002. He spent 10 years serving our country as an Air Traffic Controller until he was honorably discharged in 2012. He was a true family man who absolutely loved his three sons; Kahlil Christopher, Tavares Jamelle, and Carter Jay. Chris met the love of his life at the age of 15. He knew the moment he met Tawana that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Chris married Tawana Denise Reed on June 9, 2003. They were married for 12 years until Chris was called home. Everyone who knew Chris knew that he was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Bengals, the Reds and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. You could always catch Chris, his father, his brothers, and cousins talking stats, plays, and players. In his spare time, he played softball and for the last four seasons, he played at Rivercity West (formerly Rumpke Park). In addition to sports, he became a member of Union Lodge #47 Free & Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliated, where he served as JD (Junior Deacon). Chris accomplished a lot during his short time here, but one of his most satisfying moments came in 2012 when he made his dream of opening a night club a reality. Club Aviator was established in April 2012. This gave everyone a chance to see Chris as the true leader we all knew he could be. In 2014, Chris was recruited by Waffle House as a manager in training and soon became a Unit Manager. He was doing such a good job with his restaurant that he was being considered for a promotion. He loved his job and his employees, as they loved and respected him too. Chris transitioned from this life on the morning of Thursday, August 6, 2015, surrounded by his family. Left to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Tawana D. Reed-Clark; his three sons, Kahlil C. Clark (14 years old), Tavares J. Reed-Clark (6 years old), and Carter J. Reed-Clark (7 months old); mother, Linda J. Clark; father, Edward (Tiffany) Clark; two brothers, Donald (Christine) Curry and Daniel (Dee) Ayers; mother-in-law, Vickie L. Harris; two sisters-in-law, LaShawna M. Harris and Latoya M. (Jacques) Harris-Robinson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father-in-law, Melvin Reed.
