Minister Christie Claytor was born October 22,1974 and made her transition on October 31, 2020.
Minister Christie attended Dunbar High School and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH.
She was an employee of Eversana in Cincinnati, OH for 3 years as a Program Specialist. Prior to working for Eversana, Minister Christie was employed with Synchrony Financial as a Customer Service Representative for several years.
Minister Christie accepted Christ as Lord and Savior under the leadership of the late Pastor Evelyn Harbut of Good Shepherd Apostolic Church of Dayton, OH.
Minister Christie joined Joshua Generation under the ministry of Pastor Debbie Young and Apostle Lewis Young, Dayton, OH where she served as secretary for a brief time before moving on. Minister Christie then, connected to Great Amazement Int'l Ministry (G.A.I.M.) She held several leadership roles at GAIM. In 2015, she was ordained under the leadership of Pastor Dwight and Prophetess Deborah Driskill. Minister Claytor was a foundational teacher of the Word, church administrator and a member of the trustee board and an usher. She also worked closely with Prophetess Driskill with the Intercessory Prayer ministry, a member of the Daughter's of Deborah women's ministry. Minister Christie, an amateur chef, was the personal (organic) cook for Pastor and Prophetess Driskill and was in charge of the menus for special events and occasions. Minister Claytor was also a part of the Fine Arts ministry. She never knew she could act, but delivered an outstanding performance. She recently made her acting debut in a church production called 'Predestined'.
Minister Christie touched many lives during her time on this earth. She was always ready to help someone in need. She believed that love is what it does...and only what you do for Christ will last. Minister Christie will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Davion Claytor, her parents Willie Moreland Sr. and Mary Lee Moreland, and her brother Robert Moreland.
Also from the union of Lester Claytor and Christie Chancellor, a devoted daughter Destiny N. Claytor is left to cherish her memory. Her siblings; Willie Moreland Jr., Ronnie (Theresa) Moreland, Roberta (Greg) Adams, Henry Chancellor, Rhonda Chancellor, James Moreland, La Tina Chancellor, Terry Moreland, Laticia Moreland, and Reginald Moreland all of Dayton, OH and a host of family and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Power & Faith Ministries, 8126 Hamilton Avenue-Mt Healthy Plaza, Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery, 3117 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter the service and social distancing must be practiced. Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
