Charnelle Jalenise Thompson, affectionately known as "Nelle," was born on July 4, 1989, in Covington, Kentucky, to Carol Ann Florence and Charles Evans. She departed this life at the age of 36, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and generosity.

Charnelle spent part of her life in Norfolk, Virginia, where she welcomed her first child. She later returned to Kentucky, where she met and married the love of her life, Kevin Thompson. Together, they were blessed with three more beautiful children.

Charnelle was best known for her incredible sense of humor. Her vibrant personality could light up any room, and she had the rare gift of making anyone laugh, smile, and enjoy the moment. She was selfless to the core—if she had it and you needed it, it was yours, even if it was her last.

A true lover of music, Charnelle found joy in all genres—as long as the music was good, she was listening. One of her favorites was the music of Selena, which always brought a smile to her face.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her beloved children, Elijah Tristian Evans, Deandre Kevon Thompson, and Deanna Carol Thompson; her loving siblings, Charnae J. Evans, Starshayla S. Florence, and Steven R. Florence; a host of adoring nieces and nephews: Zayvion Evans, Jalisa Jackson, Nashari Jackson, Rayanna Crutchleo, Zy'Anthony Florence, and many more who loved her dearly.

Charnelle was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin M. Thompson; her infant son, Cash Carter Thompson; her mother, Carol Ann Florence; and her grandmother, Mrs. Bobbie J. Spellman.

Charnelle's presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on  Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Robbins Street Christian Church, 250 E. Robbins Street, Covington  (41011).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Linden Grove Cemetery,  1421 Holman Avenue, Covington,  Kentucky  41011.
