Obituary

Charles Matthews Warren was born on December 1, 1975, the second child of three boys to the loving parents, John A. and Lillie M. Warren. He was born into a praying family that put God first. Charles accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age at World of Deliverance Church in Forest Park, Ohio. In 1995, he graduated from Mt. Healthy High School and went on to attend the University of Cincinnati. He worked as a supervisor for many years at UPS. Family and friends affectionately called him Charlie, his mom endearingly called  him Mattie, and his extended family called him Chuck. Growing up, he was an energetic child who loved playing with his brothers and enjoyed being outside in the neighborhood with his friends. His second favorite place to play was in the basement of his childhood home where the boys wrestled, boxed, and played with action figures. He was such a joy to be around that even the neighborhood parents loved him. Although he was very caring and wanted to do the right thing, he was still a mischievous child especially when he was with his brothers and neighborhood friends.

While in high school, Charlie enjoyed raining jump shots on the basketball court as well as eating up the field playing football. He was a stand out defensive back and was recognized by the coaches for his playing skills. Charlie was known to make friends laugh and have fun and was known to be called his full name "Charles Warren" by many of his teachers. Needless to say, Charlie always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger, and was the dj at every party.

Family was extremely important to Chuck. He loved being with his family in Alabama as much as he loved being with his family in Ohio.  Any chance Chuck had to get out of town and visit family from afar, he was on the road. The first trip out of town that he made with Tara, almost a year after they met, was to Alabama to "meet his people." He said he wanted a country girl and he wanted to make sure Tara was just that. When Chuck visited Tara's family in Kentucky, he realized she was more country than he even imagined. Country or not, Chuck and Tara were inseparable and Chuck wouldn't have it any other way.

When Chuck and Tara were blessed with Cj, they were known as Warren, Party of 3. The biggest joy of his life became watching his son grow up and excel in school as well as sports. His famous words were "Get'er Done Cj." He was Cj's biggest fan and was the best dad a boy could ask for. Cj regards his dad as the coolest guy he has ever met and ultimately his best friend. If you saw Chuck, you saw Tara and Cj. He was not only the best dad, he was also the best husband a woman could ask for.

Charles leaves behind  to cherish his memories his wife Natara, son Charles (Cj), mom Lillie White, dad John Warren (Susan), brothers John (Kamico) Warren, Jr and Andrew Warren, , as well as many nieces, nephew, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins spanning all across the United States from CA to AL to NY to OH to KY.
