Mr. Charles Laverne Hill was born in Buffalo, NY on September 17, 1955. He is the oldest of two sons born to the late Ellen Marie Washington-Riggins and her husband, Charles Laverne Hill, Sr. On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, Charles Laverne Hill departed this life and was called home. Charles attended Hughes Senior High School in Cincinnati, OH. After graduating High School, he later joined the United States Army in 1976 where he served for six years. He leaves to mourn two daughters, Michelle Torrey of Cincinnati, OH; Venise Brunson (husband, Matthew Travis) of Norfolk, VA; one brother Larry A. Hill of Petersburg, VA; two nieces, Yolanda Byrd, Jade A. Hill; two granddaughters, Miya Travis and Nya Brunson and one great-niece, Dasia Byrd and a host of friends and relatives.
