Charles D. Hill, age 63, passed November 25, 2013. He was born October 3, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hill-Gray in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charles lived in Cincinnati to the age of 17 when he moved to California where he got his GED and attended Football College in Los Alpos California. He lived in Mountain View California and worked at National Semi Conductor as a technician for several years. Charles was good with his hands. He enjoyed working on cars, taking things apart and putting them back together. Charles was an entrepreneur, owning his own upholstery business. He was a people person, well known and liked in California. Charles moved back to Cincinnati in 1984. Charles was a member of People Tabernacle Baptist Church where his uncle, the late Pastor Joseph Hill, officiated. He moved his membership to Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Walter W. Piper, Jr. He joined the choir and security team until he became ill. He was admitted as a patient at Woods Edge Pointe Nursing home until death. Charles, mother Jessie P. Hill-Gary, stepfather Luther E. Gray and sister Karen S. deVaux preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn: his daughter, Tanya Hill; one granddaughter, Wynter in Alameda, California; two sisters, Jennife deVaux-Bailey, Nicey A. (Darren) Simmons, nephews, Nakara (Stephanie) Stephens, Elder Willie A. (Sanyelle) Stephens III, Darren (Michelle) Simmons, Jr., Christopher Wiles, Laricka Simmons; aunt Odessa Shepherd, and wife Reene Hill. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
