Charles Richard Mackey, Jr. (CJ), was born on December 21, 1989, to Charles R. Mackey, Sr. and Celeste M. (Jason) Dyer. CJ was proceeded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Charles W. Overstreet, Jr. and Judy D. Mackey, and his Maternal Grandmother, Georgetta Davis. CJ leaves behind to celebrate his life, his mom and dad, his sisters Maisha P. Mackey, and Kamya S. Berry; his Maternal Granddad, Earnest Davis, Jr., His aunts Angie (Ricky) Howel, Tabatha Mackey, Angela Davis, and his uncles, George Brown, Michael Brown, and Earnest Davis Jr. His cousins, Lila, Tanika, Tyonnia, Darrell, India, George Brown Jr., Destinee Brown, Antra, Caleb Brown, and Earnest Davis IV. CJ leaves behind a host of great Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. CJ also leaves behind, a host of brothers and sisters in Christ. CJ was especially close to his God Brother and Sister Zontay and Shaqunia. He also leaves to mourn his brothers/best friends, Allen, Marcus, Tyler, Patt, Matao, and Tevin, and his special friends, Cass and Danielle.

CJ graduated from Dater High School in 2008. CJ has some collage experience; however, his passion was to help people and make a difference in the lives of others. CJ was known for his love of art and music, with a special interest in Karaoke. You could find CJ at Home Base Tavern signing and making friends that quickly became family.

CJ accepted Christ as His savior, and he was a believer in the Word of Jesus Christ. CJ left his mark on many with his caring spirit that embraced many leaving an everlasting impression on all that he crossed paths with. CJ was a consummate friend and big brother. He was always looking after others in need. Whether it was a listening ear, an open door, or doing car repairs, CJ, was there. Above all, CJ was a great son to his parents and will be dearly missed. To be absent in body is to be present with the Lord, and we are especially grateful that He is present with the Lord.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy  leaves behind.
