Charlene Marie Mathews was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 14, 1961. She passed away while resting peacefully October 4, 2018 in Bowling Green,  Kentucky.

Charlene was born to Bessie Johnson and Charles F. Williams. She was the second oldest of five. Brother Kenny preceded her in death. She went to Princeton High School and graduated with the class of 1979 where she excelled in all her studies. After graduation, Charlene found a passion in caring for others and began her studies to become a nurse at Cincinnati State. Charlene cared for people until her health no longer permitted her to do so.

For leisure, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Charlene knew how to have a good time. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and eating. Other than breakfast, there wasn't a meal she didn't like.

Charlene leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Antwan M Peek Sr. and Dionta M Brundidge; seven grandchildren, Jacquez, Omari, Jada, Nevin, Antwan Jr, Dionta and Mariah; mother,  Bessie; brothers,  Darrell and Harold;  sister,  Joyce; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation is from 8:00 am until 9:00 am, on  Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 9:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
