Charlene Bailey was born on January 14, 1966, to the proud parents of Charles Bailey, Sr. and Betty Ann (Martin) Bailey. She was the seventh child of nine children that blessed this union, seven girls and two boys.

Charlene attended Cincinnati Public Schools. She had many professions during her life. Charlene moved to Dayton, Ohio for a few years but eventually she returned to Cincinnati, Ohio. She was baptized at St. Mary's Baptist Church on 13th Street in Cincinnati, Ohio and had been a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, also in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Charlene enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, going to bingo, visiting her family and friends. She loved her family very much. She has a very large family and lots of friends. She was a very funny person, always ready to have a good time.

Charlene will be truly missed by so many family members and friends.

On Monday, June 19, 2023, God Called home with a whisper one of his saints to eternal rest and peace Charlene Bailey of Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlene fought a good fight finally succumbed to a long-term illness, while living at Glendale Place Nursing & Rehab Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles, Sr. and Betty Bailey; sisters, Patricia Bailey, Leona Bell-Milton and Anita Bailey-Greer; niece, Jacqueline Bell and nephews, Donald Bailey, Christopher Allen Bailey and Michael E. Martin, Jr.

Charlene leaves her memories to be cherished by: her sons, Michael Bailey and Ricky Bailey; daughters, Fannie Bailey and Betty Marqueshia Bailey; siblings, Michael E. Martin, Sr. (Darnise), Charles Bailey, Jr., Doris Ann Bailey, Barbara Jean Bailey and Katherine Bailey-Ruff; grandchildren, Dijouray Bailey, Zyeion Bailey, Za'hava Lackey Bailey, Zaire Lackey Bailey, Raylin Xavier Bailey and Ray'ziah Bailey; nieces, Jackie Hartman, Nicole Bailey Angela Bailey, Cretara Bailey, Christshauna Ruff, Dianna Ruff, Carolyn Ruff, Dominique Bailey, Aleeshia Bailey and Shawdaya Smith; nephews, Albert Johnson, Leon Bell, James Mills, Antwan Martin, Christopher Bailey, Jacob Ruff and Jake'l Bailey and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.  Pastor David Goins, officiant.
