Challie 'Pete' Wood was born in Denham, Indiana on 12-30-1952 to James and Gathel Wood and died on 8-06-2016. He is survived by his two sisters, Sue (Ron) Jackson. Betty Lewingdon and the late Dave Lewington. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his brothers, Larry, Shelby and sister Juanita. He was raised in Northside, Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked at the Beckman Center and also cut grass for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office before retiring to raise turkeys and chickens. He also loved riding a John Deere Tractor all around. Challie was an animal lover. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics, which he participated in or to the Cincinnati SPCA. Visitation on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 am at Community Life Church, 2407 Adams Road, 45231. Service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment at 1:00 pm at Forest Hill Cemetery in Morris Hill, Indiana. Condolences to www.HerbWalker.com
