IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cawthorn Miree,
Jr.
November 27, 1965 – February 3, 2017
In loving memory of Cawthorn Miree Jr. Nov. 27, 1965 to February 3, 2017 Cawthorn Miree Jr. is a graduate of Finneytown High School, where he and his little brother entertained their classmates by breakdancing at talent shows and showing athleticism as star wrestlers and football players. Cawthorn later responded to a calling to join the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force base and also served his country in the Reserves. His determination, perseverance, ability to multi-task and tenaciousness led him to earn his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati, while raising a family, teaching martial arts, and boxing. Cawthorn was a talented speaker, accomplished martial artist with many belts, and followed in his father's footsteps as a military boxer. His oratorical skills were so appreciated that after he left the United States Post Office and began working for the IRS, he was asked to travel the country public speaking on behalf of the organization. Cawthorn would later utilize these talents to give powerful messages and testimonies about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a witness to God's goodness and mercy and loved to spread the good news. He was unwavering, unashamed and bold in his ministry. Cawthorn had a good heart. He was always known for being the first person to lend someone a helping hand with a positive attitude. He never resented a request, but welcomed the opportunity to help. He loved God and he loved family. After relocating to Cleveland, Ohio to be near his children, Cawthorn found tremendous joy in spending time with them and his grandchildren. He is survived by his two beautiful children, Marisa and Tres Miree; his father and mother Cawthorn and Henrietta Miree Sr.; siblings David Miree, Chris Miree and Lisa Miree Luke; grandchildren Chase and Alayah; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Cawthorn Miree Jr. will always be, as he liked to call himself, "Mr. Truly Wonderful." May he rest in peace at the footstool of our Lord. Visitation is from 7:30 am until 8:30 am, on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Walker - Mt. Healthy Chapel , 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231).
