It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Casey Jones Perkins, age 51, who peacefully departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Hospice of Cincinnati. Even in his passing, Casey’s generous and giving spirit continued to touch the lives of others. 

Casey was born on January 22, 1975, to Mary Aurelia Colbert and the late Joseph Harold Perkins, all of Lafayette, Louisiana. He grew up in Lafayette. He was a proud graduate of Acadiana High School, Class of1995, and continued his education at Southern University and A&M College. 

He was a dedicated employee of Knight Energy Services in Williston, North Dakota, for 15 years. Casey took great pride in his work and earned the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike. He was known for his work ethic and reliability; a nickname coworkers had for him was “Big Tex”. 

Casey found joy in the simple things that made life special—early mornings out on the water fishing with friends, bundling up for a day of ice fishing when the season came around, and heading out for pheasant hunting with his friends. He was also a dedicated member of New Hope Church in Williston, North Dakota, for many years, where his faith remained an important part of his life. 

He is survived by his two sons, Casey Perkins (Olivia) and Cayden Perkins; his brothers, Haskell Perkins, Burman Perkins, and Martin Perkins; his sister, Miranda Perkins Hobson; his uncle, Alton Perkins of Scott, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends and family members. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Harold Perkins, and his mother, Mary Aurelia Colbert.
