Carolyn Griffin was born on August 28, 1946 to Raymond Walton and Virginia Williams who have preceded her in passing. She passed away on August 24, 2017, at Jewish Hospital. She was surrounded by friends and family members. She leaves behind her loving husband, Ned Griffin of 53 Years. They have 4 children, Aretha (Renee) Griffin, Tonia Griffin, Raylando Griffin, and Carolyn Griffin. She also leaves 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren, a sister, Raejean Gunn, several sister and brother in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that she held as close as family to her heart. She was very family centered. She loved hearing and proudly sharing stories of her children and grandchildren. She loved the glam and glitz of being a woman with her nails, jewelry, and when she was well always kept her hair done. She was always prayerful, encouraging, kind, and loved to read the Bible. When her health made it difficult for her to read, she switched to the audio version and headphones to ensure that she did not miss a day of her study.
